At 38 months, Casey..

.. is daytime potty trained, and accidents are few and far between. We haven't thought much about nighttime training him yet, but probably will in the next couple of months.

.. loves to talk with nanna and daidi on FaceTime! If one of them calls without FaceTime switched on, he'll get upset, or even refuse to speak. He likes to talk face-to-face, and show them things around the house, which is nice with them being so far away.

.. is recognizing words. With books, it could very well be that we read his favorites so often that he just memorizes where the words are.. but it doesn't seem that way with other things. At the store the other day, I was choosing cereal, and reached for a box of Cocoa Puffs. Without me saying anything, Casey shouted 'COCONUTS!' obviously recognizing the 'coco' part of the word. Or while watching a show on TV, a subtitle came up saying 'Max and Ruby, coming up next..' (plain text, no logo or anything identifying), and he shouted "Yay! Max and Ruby!".. things like that.

.. is just getting over a cold and cough, just in time for mum and dad's arrival tonight! He is so excited to go and pick them up.. he's been picking out 'gifts' from around the house to give them, lol.

I've been slacking at taking pictures and blogging lately, I know. I have my camera charging right now though, so I'll be posting pictures of our activities in the next few days! Tomorrow we're going to pick out our tree, then hopefully getting it up, and decorating it.
