A new month, and a new look..

Caseybrake.com has a new name.. and a new look!

The header was designed by Jessica at The Frilly Coconut Design Shoppe. She was great.. so patient with my constant asking her to change things, and replied almost immediately to every email. If you're wanting a new look, check out her portfolio here. She does headers, backgrounds, buttons, navigation bars, signatures, Twitter backgrounds, entire blogs and more. I'll definitely be asking her to design my next header.. probably an entire blog next time, if I'm feeling like a big change! :)

I was originally going for an entire blog design, but while I was waiting for a spot to come available on Jessica's design list, I played around a bit with fonts and made my own navigation bar, and well.. you know how it is.. when you create something you like and don't want to get rid of it. The header really did need some work though.

Anyways.. I hope you all like the new look! I love that it's so bright.. kind of looks like our living room, which is filled with primary colored Mega Bloks and such, lol.

Love it =] It's definitely much more eye catching! I love the fact it's not too over the top either, just right.

I designed a new header a while back, but I'm too frightened to put it up, I think it's a little bit too much though =/ I might preview it later & see how it looks on the actual blog.

The green background works too, you can definitely tell it's a little boys blog, lol.
It just shows you don't need to work hard to change the whole appearance and feel of the blog [or switch to wordpress]!

Negative: The way Casey is growing so fast, you might have to change it again later this year! =]

Hehe.. I will probably change it every 2-3 months anyways, because I get bored of things quickly, lol.

I'll also change the name as he grows too (like it used to be Busy Days & Sleepless nights, then Finger Foods & Sippy Cups, now Cheerios & Tricycles, etc.. to suit what stage he's at or what he's interested in.

I've always designed my own headers, but I decided to get help with this one.. I didn't want too much of a change, but just enough to give it a new look, and I didn't really know where to start with it. I love the way it turned out!

I'm so glad that you are loving your design. And, might I add that you did a fabulous job adding things like the navigation bar?!
